Welcome! I’m Shaina, a freelance illustrator based in the UK, specialising in fashion, beauty, lifestyle and live event illustration.

Since I can remember, I’ve always loved working with watercolours, inspired by the many hours spent recreating my mum’s paintings when I was younger. Overtime, I’ve developed my own way of working, often combining watercolour with black Indian ink and digital refinement to explore the creative possibilities between traditional and contemporary techniques. I like to think of my work as chic, expressive and imperfectly perfect.

With a big imagination and an intuitive approach, my work is often guided by instinct and the creative ideas I feel lucky to receive and bring to life. I’m naturally curious and I find inspiration everywhere - from beauty, nature, fashion and travel, to the small, ordinary moments of everyday life. I’m always experimenting too, recently exploring mural work, coloured pencils and collage work.

Working as a live event illustrator, capturing people and special occasions in real time at weddings, brand and private events, has further shaped my practice. I often work in an inky, expressive style that reflects the person, atmosphere and emotion of the moment.
