Welcome! I’m Shaina, a freelance illustrator based in the UK, specialising in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and live event illustration.

Since I was a child, I’ve absolutely loved working in watercolours, inspired by the hours spent re-creating my mum’s many paintings. Over time, I’ve developed my own style and way of working, often incorporating my favourite medium - black Indian ink into the mix, alongside digital refinement to explore the endless creative possibilities available to me. I like to think of my work as chic, expressive, and imperfectly perfect, with a contemporary twist.

As Julia Cameron says in The Artist’s Way, “A beautiful life requires great swathes of attention.” I’m naturally a very curious person and therefore easily inspired by my surroundings - from beauty, nature, fashion, and travel, to the little snippets of the ordinary everyday.

 

With a big imagination and an intuitive approach, my work is often guided by instinct and the creative visions I’m grateful to receive and bring to life.​ I’m always experimenting, recently dabbling in mural work and developing a newfound love for coloured pencils and collage.
